Comedy Talents Abound In Ghana- DKB

Anytime comedy in Ghana comes up for discussion on any platform, the perception that is created in the minds of people is that Nigeria has so much Comedy talents than that of Ghana. According to such people, Ghana does not really have Comedy talents who can match up to their Nigerian counterparts but the King of Ghana Comedy, Derrick Kobina Bonney a.k.a DKB  has expressed his discomfort and disapproval with respect to that misconception.
Contrary to the misconception created in the public domain, the King of Ghana Comedy, DKB has mentioned that so many comedy talents abound in the country and apart from him being a classic example, there are other talented comedians in the country such as Khemical, Foster, James Brown, Hafco, David Oscar and many more. He made this known to your evergreen and authoritative Flex Newspaper in an exclusive interview.
According to him, comedy made in Nigeria and that which is made in Ghana are not very different but was quick to add that the main reason why Nigeria is seen to be ahead of Ghana in terms of comedy is due to the fact that Nigeria started and developed their comedy much earlier before Ghana set out to concentrate and develop comedy as part of their entertainment industry.
Apart from the fact that Ghana has so many comedy talents, DKB noted that the best approach to ensure that comedy develops to an appreciable height in the entertainment industry is through the nurturing of comedy talents. With the nurturing of comedy talents, DKB revealed that the right thing to do is consistent rehearsals on the part of the comedy talents as well as appraisals of their performances on any platform.
When asked if he has any other job apart from comedy that he does, DKB did not give a direct response but noted that he would do comedy for his entire life adding that every facet of life on this earth has its funny side.
